Review 2017 and Welcome 2018

Year of Disruption for Recruitment

2017 Review

This year, WhiteCrow Research made a mark in 25 countries with 750+ hires spread across 21 industries and a further 9300 candidates were added to client talent communities with the objective of considering them for future positions.

2017 Review Flags

The highest number of hires were made in India followed by Singapore, USA, UK and Malaysia. Not accounting for potential of future hires coming from the 9300 that are qualified and part of client’s talent communities, we have saved our corporate customers in excess of US $10 m when compared to other traditional channels. To achieve these numbers WhiteCrow Consultants have engaged with over 30,000 professionals in 2017.

Information technology, Energy and Consumer goods were the top 3 industries where we made the most impact, however our influence on hires is spread across multiple industries. On average we have over 940 jobs listed with us in any quarter and help customers not just hire great candidates for open positions but also help them build and maintain talent community for the mid to long term.

Asia leads the way in the number of hires we have impacted with over 300 in Singapore, Malaysia and India which are followed by Europe and Americas. We helped close 180+ strategic positions where average compensation is approx. $134,000 the highest is $510,000 p.a.

America leads the average compensation ($154,000) followed by Europe ($124,000), Oceania ($102,000), Asia ($68,000) and then Africa ($48,000).

2017 Review World Map

Almost all the work we do requires us to Network, engage with relevant candidates and connect them to culturally aligned customers which makes these hires even more meaningful.

Diversity has played a key role in most regions and customers are keen to see both ethnic and gender diverse candidates in every shortlist. On an average 26% of the shortlist have candidates that are diverse and 21% of our data pool of 10+ years of experienced candidates are female talent.

2017 Review Diversity

We welcome 2018 with belief that we can continue to work on transforming the way we engage with customers and candidates with continuous improvement in service standards and technology innovation. With impending GDPR becoming applicable in May 2018, recruitment companies or platform providers holding people information need to adapt to how they engage, store and transfer data either internally or externally.

Since implementation of our new platform in August 2017, we are geared with the highest privacy policies in place. With candidates opting into our network, we have access to some incredible candidates and industry insights. Close to 60% of the Talent community currently engaged with us have over 10+ years of experience and a further 30% have experience between 5-10 years.

Consumer goods and the Retail industry employ over 35% female talent while Information Technology and Consulting employ around 11% and Construction is the lowest with just above 7%. As professionals spend more time in an organisation, the reality of the gender pay gap becomes more explicit. However, it’s important to know how this gap comes to play and what can be done to avoid it.

Our objective is to have a highly engaged community and deliver true value to our candidates in this community.
