HOW WE TACKLED THE BRIEF GIVEN TO US

Role/Vacancy

CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a national petroleum and natural gas company. Their global staff strength is in excess of 65,000 employees.

CLIENT REQUIREMENT

Our client was in the process of building a new state of the art refinery in Saudi Arabia for which they required WhiteCrow Research to source the best talent from across globe. WhiteCrow Research managed the entire process, right from candidate identification to organizing the final face to face interviews and making an offer to the candidates. We assembled a team to kick start the sourcing process. This team was scaled up to 5 resources over 6 months.

Deliverables

The team was divided into 2 key sub-teams:

STRATEGIC SOURCING TEAM

Team Goal: Produce a shortlist of CVs for the live roles. The candidate source was Job Boards, LinkedIn, Internal Database and references. The team also managed the inbound applications that were generated due to job adverts posted by the client.

TALENT MAPPING TEAM

Team Goal: Proactively build a Talent Pipeline for multiple positions across competitor companies in India. This research also included market intelligence of various technologies used within the refinery industry (across different regions) so that we could meet client’s expectation for seasoned candidates.

THE RECRUITMENT DRIVE

WhiteCrow organized an 8-day recruitment drive across multiple locations and invited all the shortlisted candidates for face to face interviews. The interviews were conducted by 3 different hiring managers for client’s Refinery Operations, Refinery Maintenance and Refinery Engineering departments. They were assisted by a 3-member team from the client HQ from Saudi Arabia. In addition to the above a separate team of 3 HR representatives from client’s London office were here to conduct negotiations with the candidates.

Overall 155 candidates (all sourced and shortlisted by WhiteCrow Research) were interviewed. This exercise resulted in 83 offers. The success of this project has triggered talks of similar projects in the United Kingdom. We are currently in the process of sourcing candidates for a similar program to help the client in Asia Pacific later in the year.
